What to Expect Your First Time
When you book your first appointment you will receive an email with a PDF health history form attachment. We require the completed form emailed back a day prior to your appointment. Please also provide all insurance information requested in the email.
When you arrive for your appointment, please wait in your car as our front door is locked. Your therapist will wave you in when they are ready for you. You do not need to call when you arrive.
If you were not able to complete your paperwork electronically, you should arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment time to complete the necessary paperwork.
Your therapist will then take you into one of our relaxing treatment rooms where you will sit down and discuss your health history and your goals for your treatment. Since it is your first visit with the therapist, he or she may also perform an assessment that will allow them to create a treatment plan that is customized to your specific needs.
Your therapist will then leave the room while you get undressed. Some clients prefer to completely disrobe, while others prefer to leave on their undergarments. Once you are on the massage table, you will completely cover yourself with a fleshly laundered sheet. Your therapist will knock on the door to be sure you are ready before they re-enter.
During your treatment you will be professionally draped with the sheets; your massage therapist will only uncover the part of the body they are working on to ensure your modesty is respected. He or she will also ask you from time to time if the pressure is okay, please be sure to communicate with your therapist about your concerns, your expectations, and your pain tolerance – it’s your massage.
